Great job if you're satisfied with complacency

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsEasy to take time off, great benefits, very flexible schedule, friendly atmosphere

ConsFew opportunities for advancement, government budget cuts=layoffs for many and zero chance for a raise or promotion for the rest, no respect if you are young, no plans for succession, workforce is aging out quickly

Advice to Senior ManagementWork on building up your workforce by hiring and retaining young talent

    Dysfunctional Agency

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at State of Texas

Pros: Opportunity to live in Austin, TX. In a building a couple blocks from the state capitol where you could… Cons: Some specific divisions have people in high places who play favorites with the employees… Advice to Senior Management: Listen to the employees and do not run off all the good employees… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
