I worked at State of Utah full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Employees of the State of Utah receive great health benefits and a 401k with great matching offerings. The locations of the offices in Salt Lake are great and provide parking in the downtown area that are available after hours.

    Cons

Terrible pay, extremely slow and few advancement opportunities. Much like advancement, it takes forever for people that deserve to be fired to be let go.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get out from under the shell and make the necessary waves to motivate and reward your workforce.
