Pros

Good benefits. Most employees are harding working and eager to learn. Company treat employees with respect and show care.

Cons

disorganized management and saving money in the wrong places...does not hold employees accountable for actions.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do a better job in giving employees feedback. If they are doing a bad job, tell them, vice versa. promote and demote accordingly.

    Pros

good pay and benefits (guaranteed to be better than almost anywhere), will get plenty of overtime, if more money is your thing

    Cons

loud, dirty, rotating shift, will get lime burns, will inhale metallic fumes, you've got to many bosses, a supervisor who has no idea how to do his job but likes to tell you how to do yours

I have been working at Steel Dynamics full-time

    Pros

Fort Wayne is a great place to live, earning potential is decent given the market. Prospects for limited growth within the company.

    Cons

Quality ROA on the steel side, poor management in recycling. Inexperienced CEO leads to poor returns. Very weak and understaffed bench strength leads to poor middle management team.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Divest assets in the SE and Minnesota. Restock your bench.
