I have been working at Stepan full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – People are friendly. Most work environments pleasant. Family oriented with most managers understanding the need for work/life balance. As in all companies there are those managers that are better at managing employees than others. Good benefits. Employees stay a long time and can be promoted.
Cons – Company runs lean and could benefit from adding head count. Some departments promote from within more than others. Due to employees staying so long complacency has become the norm in some areas.
Advice to Senior Management – Work harder to keep good employees.
