I worked at Steria

Pros

honestly, none !!!
or maybe just for a good health insurance :) you will need it for sure !!!
the managers are really good, the prrof, they make money, but they are unable to keep their employees more than one year...

Cons

When you're in Steria, you're just a slave... never mind how a good slave you are, you will always be treated only like "meat"...
for the rating about "recognition & feedback" it is 4 for the feedback (thank you, you really did a very nice job) and 1 for recognition (although all the nice job you did, we can not pay you more than you are already paid)...

Advice to ManagementAdvice

R.E.S.P.E.C.T people please !!! and give a little money of the much money you earn !!! you are so mean !!!

I worked at Steria as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

Quite a bit of autonomy, good colleagues who were friendly and professional

    Cons

Feels a bit adrift and sterile. Management are a bit too laid back, I suspect the autonomy is not down to do giving you freedom, rather they are hiding because they don't know what they are doing, or arent Interested. Internal systems archaic, simple tasks like claiming expenses are a nightmare.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

At least take some Interest, see staff as people and make them feel part of the team.

Self-driven working culture with excellent colleagues, homely feel but poor management and job prospects

I have been working at Steria full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Employees here are given a lot of self-autonomy in working. The pace of work here is very self-driven - you work as hard as you want. The company has a very homely feel and the colleagues an excellent bunch of 'work hard play hard' people who love sports and a few drinks. Working environment is also very dynamic - it is easy to move across projects to gain experience.

    Cons

Poor management - management is very disconnected from the rest of the company. Poor renumeration and benefits. Also, despite being an IT company, computers laptops and IT equipments is often in very poor condition, and there is always no budget for decent equipment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please communicate long term and medium strategy with employees more often - very disconcerting to be jerked around very frequently. Also, give employees decent PCs and laptops!
