I worked at Sterling Autobody full-time (less than an year)

Pros

Money/bonus and benefits were good. That is the only good thing about that horrible place

Cons

They fire you but can't give a reason why

Stop hiring bimbos and let the smart people work there

    I have been working at Sterling Autobody

    Pros

    Decent benefits for industry. Because owned by Allstate, they refer all claims to Sterling, so stores stay pretty busy.

    Cons

    Management treats employees unfairly. Seems to reward employees with poor attendance and performance. Corporate ignores employees concerns. Techs poorly trained. Human Resources is a joke. Most employees are stuck here because Allstate has run competing shops out of business. Low morale, depressing atmosphere. No recognition of excellent employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Start caring about your techs, they are the reason you make any money at all. If you put employees first, you may actually show a profit. Stop playing favorites with employees who can't/ won't do their jobs and appreciate those techs you have with talent.

    Good pay and benefits compared to other companies in the industry.

    Cons

    Very poor treatment of employees. Few career opportunities, promotions are rarely given based on job performance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Change the strategy concerning the treatment and development of employees. They are the most valuable asset you have.
