Current Employee - Community Service Specialist in Grapevine, TX

    Pros

SCI recently purchased Stewart Enterprises. I expect the merge will improve the working conditions.

    Cons

Hostile work environment. Low pay. Management encourages the Pre-planning specialist to steal the leads from the commission only staff.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be fair with all employees. Quit stealing the customers leads and contracts submitted by the commissions only sales representatives. Discontinue favoritism toward departments that are not on commission only basis. Do not gossip about employees to other co-workers

Chance to help people in time of need. Ability to set your own schedule to a certain extent. Has some earning potential.

    Cons

Local management only interested in themselves. Very little direction or support at the local level.Being in the business for years does not make you a good manager.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Hire managers with management skills.
