I have been working at Stoneriver full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

Having worked for StoneRiver since the companies inception as a spin-off from Fiserv, and in general this is a great place to work. There are new product introductions taking place in many areas and projected growth of the client base looks good for 2013.

Cons

The Insurance industry in general has been in a stagmant state with regard to purchasing large dollar computer systems, so that has had an impact on the new sales side of the company. There have been some staffing adjustments, but they have been minimal and necessary based on the market.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stay focused on growing the product lines.

    I worked at Stoneriver full-time

    Pros

The company has a broad line of products that will help the insurance industry be more efficient. The employees are good people who really try to help the customers.

    Cons

The company was formed through several acquisitions over the past several years. Integration of the acquired companies has not always worked well.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sometimes upper management needs to get out of the "ivory tower" and talk to the rank and file more. The ones who program the systems and deal with the customers on a day to day basis can offer advise on what needs to be done to improve the customer's experience.
