I have been working at Stony Brook University

    Pros

It was a very nice experience to explore the research areas. I got to interact with many people and learn a lot

    Cons

It has too many people competing for little resources. Funding opportunity is limited to the most talented people only .

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leadership quality is indeed gained due to the various activities one person has to do with the little resources available

I worked at Stony Brook University

    Pros

I highly recommend this student job to Stony Brook University students. I started off with $7.25/hour (higher than state minimum wage at the time) then I was earning $9/hour when I graduated. I could do homework while at work, play games, make outside phone calls, it was the perfect work environment. If one needed the day off to study, sleep in or go home early for the weekend you got it. If I was sick, I always could get the day off even though I have gone in to work sick a few times.

    Cons

Sometimes I wouldn't get the work schedule I wanted. The most I worked in a week (the entire 4 years I worked there) was 14 hours.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Its an easy job, not much more needs to be said.
