Storr Office Environments – “Friendly, hard-working community of people; disconnected with forward growth and development.”
Pros
The work space is beautiful, great demonstration of design capabilities of staff. Monthly "fun committee" activities for the staff. Available time off for important issues. Employees rally to help their colleagues in time of need.
Cons
Leadership does not do a good job at "grooming" individuals for future advancement and placement within the company. Leadership generally "plays it safe" and does not accept suggestions for improvement openly. There is a communication gap between the leadership team and the employees. Positions feel one-dimensional with a glass ceiling.
Advice to Senior Management
Take a step back from the daily grind to see where the company is headed. Employees are willing and wanting to take on new experiences and challenges; but when a leadership team lacks the ability to see beyond the daily grind and discover untapped potential, promising individuals will want to discover new challenges with another company. Good talent will leave become unhappy and seek out new opportunities.
