Strata Decision Technology – “Good Opportunities For New Grads, Benefits Could Use Improvement”

The responsibility and opportunities you get here at a job right out of college are much better than at other companies. I know because I worked at a huge company right out of college, and was bored out of my mind there. You have the opportunity to improve yourself much more than you would have at most other places.
Most of the people that work here are smart, motivated individuals who have bright futures ahead of them. It is nice to have competent coworkers who are also fun to work with. This job is what you make of it.
Managers are really flexible and if you see a way to improve something, they will most likely let you do it. The more ideas you can come up with and implement to improve your job and help others, the better off (and more satisfied with your job) you'll be.
Cons
Every week brings new internal processes that we have to keep up with. I spend around 30-45 minutes a day entering stuff into our internal management database. We are already super busy, we could put that time to much better use.
It would be nice if Strata could expand their benefits program a little bit. We keep moving insurance companies - not all Strata's fault but still makes life difficult. We don't get many holidays off (1 day for Christmas), while we get 16 vacation days, 5 sick days. Finally there is no short term disability or maternity leave. Strata does seem to pay more than most other companies so maybe this offsets the benefits a bit.
Advice to Senior Management
Stop changing processes so we can spend time on more important things, help us out by providing a little bit stronger benefits program.
