great exciting state-of-the-art work in electronics and research. really smart people all around you. beautiful location, great weather. expensive neighborhood though

Cons

very old-school institutional atmosphere. need to show a lot of deference to the scientists, much less so for the more common worker bees. unlike other national labs, many of these people have been there for 30 or 40 years and have the work ethic and atmosphere of that time.

Advice to Senior Management

take a modern management course. anything from the 90's on should help a lot. remember that your working with people. your management style is right out of the 80's at best. more like the 70's in many ways. you must suffer many lawsuits.
