Lots of work for pay that sometimes doesn't feel like it worth it.

Student Account Representative (Current Employee)

ProsStrayer offers some corporate perks. The benefits package is nothing to complain about. Every year you work they also offer around a 3% raise to adjust for the cost of inflation.

ConsPending how many students attend your campus, the workload can be very demanding. Everyday is a consistent struggle to get work done on a tight timeline while constantly being interrupted by phone calls, students coming on campus for assistance, and lots of emails. Overtime is not an option so you are expected to get a great deal work done under a unjustified time constraint.

Strayer is also consistently changing policy which makes it very hard to remember and keep up with the numerous major changes that occur sometimes weekly.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement can make or break your work experience and environment. The Director of the campus sets the bar for expectations. If you are not meeting those expectations then you will quickly find out what you are doing wrong. There are goals set everyday which are sometimes very unrealistic, but there still is reprimanding for not meeting them.
