I have been working at Strayer University

Pros

Strayer offers some corporate perks. The benefits package is nothing to complain about. Every year you work they also offer around a 3% raise to adjust for the cost of inflation.

Cons

Pending how many students attend your campus, the workload can be very demanding. Everyday is a consistent struggle to get work done on a tight timeline while constantly being interrupted by phone calls, students coming on campus for assistance, and lots of emails. Overtime is not an option so you are expected to get a great deal work done under a unjustified time constraint.

Strayer is also consistently changing policy which makes it very hard to remember and keep up with the numerous major changes that occur sometimes weekly.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management can make or break your work experience and environment. The Director of the campus sets the bar for expectations. If you are not meeting those expectations then you will quickly find out what you are doing wrong. There are goals set everyday which are sometimes very unrealistic, but there still is reprimanding for not meeting them.

    I worked at Strayer University

    Pros

The position is great for someone who wants to travel every other week.

    Cons

The flying can be tiresome, it only gives you truly 3 days to fully work with Mon and Fri being a traveling day. Training is very short and rushed. Some of the goals are not real to the area or nature of the target site. This position is being contracted through VZW (which should be up soon) the numerous complaints for the employees might lead to this contract not get renewed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just dont promote someone who has been there for some time. Promote qualified individuals that are capable for motivating a team, know what they are doing as a manager, and can direct a team effectively to reach a goal.
