I have been working at Strayer University full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Great benefits, offers tuition assistance, decent pay, many opportunities for growth, values employee moral, great management team at the corporate level, specifically in the financial aid department.

Cons

It's a service base industry so there are a few cases employees have to deal with irate costumers, the hours can be challenging considering that campuses stay open until the evening

    Financial Aid staff is not seasoned FA professionals therefore a lot of student financial aid packages are incorrect.

    I have been working at Strayer University part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Competitive salary. Room for advancement. Good opportunities for adjuncts.

    Cons

    Top down, no employee input. No vacations for full time faculty. Employees terminated and transferred seemingly without basis. Constant changing of systems. High tuition. Unprepared students.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Consider increasing the learning surface of the organizaton by valuing employee contributions.
