I have been working at Stream Global Services full-time (more than 8 years)

Pros

Exposure to global enterprise, experience in multi-cultural business, and plenty of experience to gain and learn.

Cons

Uncertainty. Lack of processes. There has been so much change in the executive management in the past several years that has resulted in a huge turnover at all levels of management, much of it arguably caused by cronyism. This has driven a perpetual sense of being "laid off" at any given time - many colleagues have left and many more continue to search for other opportunities, obviously exhausted from the uncertainty of their jobs. Effective processes continue to be a challenge.

I worked at Stream Global Services full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Easy to get a job there if you just starting out without experience
Easy to get promoted if you are a friend of a supervisor or upper management

    Cons

Managers have little knowledge of the product and service. There is no upward mobility or promotions for a job well done in the company. High turnover of management that are mostly employees.. Frequent shift hour changes including days of the week hours in the day. Low pay.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employee as a human being not a machine. Do more walking around and get to know the people that are on your team. Know the product and be available to help knowledge wise when needed,

I worked at Stream Global Services part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

You get a paycheck every two weeks.

    Cons

Worst company I have ever worked for.
Promotions are based on popularity with many promoted to Tier 2 while lacking basic Tier 1 technical skills. Absolutely no benefits for part time associates and full time benefits severely lacking. A flawed time management system which has no flexibility whatsoever putting employees at risk of being written up for 5 minute tardy which equates to half of a day by policy. Multiple understaffed departments with mandatory overtime and no possibility of vacation for months on end.
Performance is measured by a dysfunctional metric system which discourages actually assisting with technical issues instead focusing on getting clients off the phone as quickly as possible and spamming them with emails. The system is so flawed that an employee who was on leave of absence for 6 months was number 2 in employee rankings for his department consecutively for months.
The Tampa facilities are in terrible shape with many people sharing cubicles, and only a single bathroom for 200+ people. Many employees get assigned to work company holidays based on popularity, often they will be given full 8 hour shifts only to come in stay for two hours and be told to go home. On multiple occasions your schedule will be randomly changed without your knowledge and be marked as late or absent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My only advice is to stay away from this company, advice for executives is to change your policies and fire most of your management as they only know how to email metric information and demands to meet metrics often not speaking to employees face to face for months apart from when they need a signature.
