Pros

Energetic team with diverse backgrounds. HQ in California has it the best

Cons

-Lack of clear direction and structure; there is no actual medium or long-term goal
-Turnover in talent either in the lack of on-boarding or being removed in less than 6-9 months
-Some departments are based on social connections and at times political

Advice to Management

They need to figure out exactly what they are supposed to do with the company instead of being easily influenced by VC pressure or the latest fads.

    Pros

The company is growing & obtaining new clients.

    Cons

    - High amount of turnover.
    - No clear company direction, it changed several times in the short time I was there.
    - Restructuring galore, several people were moved into different roles after a very short time. Normal HR guidelines dictate a person will fit into their position after 6 months, but they don't give people that long.
    - No set training or goals - Very unorganized.

    Advice to Management

Be more certain of hires, I saw several people there for under 6 months let go. If you've already determined after 6 months that they are not a good fit, then you are not doing your due diligence before hiring.

    Pros

    1. There are some really good people working in the company
    2. In general, the company provides a flexible working environment
    3. Salary is competitive
    4. Niche product

    Cons

    1. Not providing enough resources for the Services organization to assist the customers
    2. New product development often rushed and riddled with bugs - often makes a few more patches to fix.
    3. Difficult to advance to director level.
    4. Having trouble keeping talented people - some left in frustration
    5. Small company but being managed like a mid/large-size company
    6. Communication on people leaving (laid off or resigned) often kept at secrecy

    Advice to Management

Operate more like a small company that it is. Ditch away old management style and really open up communication and ideas, not just to those who are vocal. Allow people who know what they are doing do their jobs.
