I have been working at Stryker full-time (more than 8 years)

Pros

Stable company with increases and bonus every year. Opportunities to create your own role. Great benefits and competitive starting salaries.

Cons

Extremely conservative and risk averse company. People are extremely resistant to change or standardization with every user thinking their unique way is the only possible method.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Massive changes required in management tiers. Force divisions to standardize without opening up exceptions so that standards look like swiss cheese.

    They hire good quality sales people to work with

    Cons

    Too many; drinking the company koolaid is required!!! Don't bother to apply if you are 40+.

    Pros

    Beautiful facility, some bastions of excellence.

    Cons

    Gallup Strengths Finder at interview is not looking for a balance of 34 traits for high performing teams. It is looking for Competitive, Achiever, Strategic traits. Net effect is type A's all competing to make a decisions causing grid lock. The rest are for worker bees waiting to get burned out.

    Develop from within, stop looking for the holy grail on the outside.
