I worked at Stryker full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Pay - great pay for capital sales.

Cons

Employees are a dime a dozen
Fraternity like atmosphere
Sales reps are in love with themselves
Commissions keep getting cut

Advice to ManagementAdvice

When you say your employees are the #1 resource, then show it. There's enough of a fraternity like atmosphere at meetings. Don't reinforce it. Change the culture of meetings from "it's a party" to actual learning and training.

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee in Lakeland, FL

I worked at Stryker full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The people working within the company are good, friendly people willing to learn what is being offered to them.

    Cons

Some managers do not want to listen to your ideas for improvement and make you feel devalued. HR management are not people focused, but corporate focused. Some people have been told 'Our way or the Highway'. Not good for retaining employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Slow down the acquisitions and focus on the Quality Management System and get your houses in order. Mid-level management needs to stop sucking up to corporate and stand firm on what needs to be done to improve quality.
