Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stylesight has gotten a 'bad rap' in the past for being a terrible place to work due to low salaries, minimal benefits and a dictatorial management. While they've definitely made many positive changes in work environment and benefits since that time - it's not difficult to see or hear how most employees are still quite dissatisfied with their employment there.

There is still a 'big-brother' type feeling while being there - that you could at anytime get fired for making a small mistake. There's at least one layoff a per week, and in certain departments the turnover rate is quite quick. There could be many reasons for this, but generally it's not a good sign.

Employees overall do not feel genuinely appreciated, monetarily or for all the hard work they do. It's better, but not much...one can't help but feel that there are better opportunities out there. Please consider - Pay your employees fairly and they'll put their appreciation and effort back into the company!

Those in upper management are for the most part intimidating and difficult to talk to, it would be great if they didn't seem so distant or disinterested in regarding lower level employees.

An actual HR department would be a valuable and positive contribution to the company

    Pros

Nice office, relatively nice staff(minus mgmt)

    Cons

It's rare to find a group of employed so universally disappointed with their jobs. A combination of problems lead to a very high turn over rate. Ranging from poor communication , Zero employee motivational tools, and absurd HR policy and management..
Restructure HR, then middle mgmt, Frank(CEO) should also get off his high horse...
