I worked at Suburban Hospital part-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Nice working in the Rehabilitative Medicine Department, along with the other allied health professionals, OT, PT, Speech Language Pathology. Interesting work with outpatients and inpatients, including hearing monitoring of ototoxic drugs, coma patients, and interoperative monitoring.
Cons – Salary and lack of advancement opportunities.
Advice to Senior Management – When I was providing interoperative monitoring, I would sometimes arrive at 6 a.m., before my regularly scheduled time, and leave after my regularly scheduled time. Was not paid overtime. Also, interoperative monitoring is a high-level service, and I was the only one in the hospital who was able to do it, although was paid my regular salary. Interoperative monitoring should be compensated differently than regular audiology services.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
