Subway... A pretty good place to work.

Sandwich Artist (Current Employee) Savanna, IL

ProsIt's refreshing to work in a fast-food setting without it being greasy or dirty. The management is fairly competent and is willing to work around any scheduling you may have in your personal life, and is very flexible. In terms of income, it's what you would expect from a fast-food restaurant. Raises are given on a... whenever you get them basis, not yearly, quarterly, etc. Not much. But if I had to choose, this is the best fast-food restaurant to work at. If you like a clean, easy-going place to work, then this is it. Overall, a nice place to work.

ConsScheduling is very tight. It's easy to get bogged down with taking over many peoples shifts during the week. If someone calls off, their aren't many people willing, or able to cover that persons shift for the day. The downside to Subway being so clean, is that you actually have to clean it on a more-than-regular basis. Doing everything that needs to be done in any given day takes a lot of time. And when it gets busy you have to put those things aside to wait on customers, putting you behind, and not letting you get home on time.

Advice to Senior ManagementMake sure to listen to your employees. Their are many unspoken frustrations between the employees and management. Mostly because of lack of communication.
