Subway – “It didn't suck.”

Pros

As far as fast food jobs go, this was the best. There's no frying oil to deal with, and the whole place stinks of baking bread rather than grimy food. The stores seem smaller so there is less mopping to do. A free sandwich after every shift is a nice bonus, but not every store offers this.

Cons

You come home every day reeking of yeast. The store where I worked was great for awhile but suddenly plunged into this drama fest of trying to get one of the managers to quit without having to fire her by scheduling her more hours than they hoped she was willing to work. In the process, all the underlings got pissed off and quit.

Advice to Senior Management

I was repeatedly asked to do the work of a shift leader without any change in my pay. I suppose that store's saturation of management prevented any potential for promotions.
