Pros

Smart and dedicated people on the front lines. Fast pace and execution focus.

Cons

Lack of visibility into performance management process and the outcomes of the process (ironic). Seemingly arbitrary promotions of some employees, while others who seem deserving are overlooked. Extremely political, despite claims of "performance, not politics". Perceived gender gap-- lack of women in senior positions.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a true and transparent performance process in place, and make it fair and consistent. Answer employee questions about perceived fairness issues, without accusing them of whining (many complaints had merit). Share employee survey results with the entire employee population, not just senior managers.

    Pros

This company has very talented people, great solutions, and truly offers a pay for performance environment. It's a great environment for collaboration of ideas, and everyone has a voice and is encouraged to provide honest feedback on company processes which encourages positive change and development. Also, top performers are rewarded on real performance!

    Cons

While I personally did not feel this as a negative, you must be an independent person with lots of intitiative to come here and be successful. Onboarding and initial training could be improved so expect to seek support and be aggressive in leveraging resources to help you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to listen to you employees as they are the future of this company and really be sure to understand their needs. Continued focus on employee career development within the organization will be key to maintaining your top performers that will ultimately determine the top and bottom line growth of the company! Also, set reachable goals for your employees. It's discouraging for Top performers to still come up short on their goal. This is an area that has been improved and needs to be monitored closely.

    Pros

Name recognition, I guess. It is certainly not the pace. Made for Gen-Yers than Gen Xers. A bit too fast for me, dawg.

    Cons

Very Oracle-Like environment at least from a manager perspective. A lot of A-holes when there aren't suppose to be any. Back stabbing is a norm for management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find a new career path. Hasn't the slick software salesman vibe run it's course? Successfactors is full of them.
