I have been working at Suffolk University

Pros

time off benefits, tuition remission

Cons

egos, politics, in-fighting, no transparency

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Really listen to your employees, there is no consistency between divisions so policies are not the same office to office

I worked at Suffolk University full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, tuition is free. Relaxed work environment with many avenues for advancement. I worked in all parts of the university over a 10 year period. The college of liberal arts is the most laid back, the school of management was ok and the law school was the most professional.

    Cons

In the school of management they stopped using asst. profs. that worked in a given field and replaced the with Ph.D. to get a certain accreditation. This caused a change from profs that really knew what they were talking about and profs that were more interested in getting published than in teaching.
