Pros

There was potential to grow your career and stand out quickly as an achiever if you put the effort in. Recognition for hard work.

Cons

Disappointed by "commercial open source" and legacy PHP frameworks. The business opportunity is moderate and staff is required to work hard for small margins and high customer turnover.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to focus on product quality, development methodologies, and customer experience. It is important to make open source a verb rather than a noun.

    Pros

    Laid back atmosphere, everyone was great to work with and easy to get along with. The location is great as well.

    Cons

    There was a lot of company trainings that took away from your time as a sales team to focus on customers. The constant shifting of management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Cut down on the week long training... other then that the company is a great company to work for, with great potential.

    I have been working at SugarCRM

    Pros

    Some great, intelligent and fun people to work with at Sugar. Quarterly company meetings are informative. Compensation and benefits are good.

    Cons

    Company has shifted from a collaborative, team environment to a company with lots of politics and self-centered people, most in management positions. CEO has his favorites, especially the people he has brought in. No long term plan for the company, or at least one that has been communicated to the employees. Lots of start-stop initiatives. The sharing of information varies from department to department as does the competency levels of management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Focus on what is best for the company, not just your specific area. Treat employees with respect and value the contributions they are making to the organization. Communicate a long term plan.
