Very political for a young company, good product for SMEs but will never match SFDC

I have been working at SugarCRM full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Good size company to join if you can make it work for you.

    Cons

I can speak specifically for the international business based out of Munich.

The team is quite young and most of the people that have worked there for some time are really good people. But as the company has grown they have recruited a range of senior managers that seem to have very few skills in companies of this size, who are almost exclusively from much bigger companies and much more concerned with and skilled in internal politics than operational excellence. Hence the recent swathe of people jumping ship or being forced out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at the skills you've had in the company for years, and promote them to positions of power. They care about the company way more than newcomers.
