Individual teams are good and pleasure to work in. The wider company is disorganized, unstructured and lacks focus.

I have been working at SugarCRM full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Hard Working
Global Working
Strive to be better (even if this is unstructured)
Innovative
Some fantastic people to work with
Some amazing talent
Product has potential to be fantastic

Cons

C-Suite are not focused on long-term strategy/not communicated
No communication about changes, change management is non-existent
Poor benefits and pay-rises
To many managers, not enough functional staff
Hard to get promotions, training or progression
Poor moral from some groups due to issues
Lots of internal politics

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to communicate changes with the company more openly. Allow for development of employees within teams and provide more training opportunities. Will continue to loose good staff members due to instability of company, poor pay structures, internal politics and lack of support. Need to solve issues with teams working together for one goal.

Very political for a young company, good product for SMEs but will never match SFDC

I have been working at SugarCRM full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Good size company to join if you can make it work for you.

    Cons

I can speak specifically for the international business based out of Munich.

The team is quite young and most of the people that have worked there for some time are really good people. But as the company has grown they have recruited a range of senior managers that seem to have very few skills in companies of this size, who are almost exclusively from much bigger companies and much more concerned with and skilled in internal politics than operational excellence. Hence the recent swathe of people jumping ship or being forced out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at the skills you've had in the company for years, and promote them to positions of power. They care about the company way more than newcomers.
