    Pros

    The company is family owned and operated by some of the most caring and intelligent upper management I've known in my short career. We all know that you'll have bad days of work or days that you don't want to go in to work, however, that almost is never the case at Summit Group. Even if the actual work can be hard sometimes, the people that Summit hires and have kept around for 15+ years is fantastic and makes going to work every day a great experience. They are also a leader in the promotional products industry making it easy to grow quickly with your clients and impress on a daily basis.

    Cons

    A better lead generation team or tool would be helpful for AEs and AMs. Pay could be a little better from what I've heard with the salaried positions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep doing what you're doing, continue to invest in technology to make work easier for employees, and continue to hire great people, it's what keeps the company the unique entity that it is.

    Pros

    OK benefits – not much else to offer.

    Cons

    There is no such thing as work/life balance at this company for certain position. A hand full of people actually work at this company and they are consistently over looked for promotions. Pay is well below market value for the job titles and expectations. SOME employees do the jobs of multiple people and are barely paid for one. Preferential treatment given to certain associations by upper management.
    Don’t expect a decent raise. At the most be prepared for 2%. Bonuses are promised but never delivered. Most likely they are saved for upper management. There are several managers there that are no value add to the company.
    Upper management is out of touch and either doesn’t know what’s going on or doesn’t care.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Learn how to say “Thank you” and how to properly screen/interview people for positions. Process and procedures are being made and not implemented properly. Clients will suffer in the end. Listen to your employees. No one wants to work for a company that makes them feel unappreciated. You will continue to lose good people because of your office politics.
