I worked at Sun Life full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Great co workers, fair pay. A good place to start at the bottom and grow. Treated people very fairly when they laid off 800 people.

Cons

Management was out of touch with upper management (Toronto). There was little to no opportunity to advance for some one mid career.

I have been working at Sun Life full-time

    Pros

I would say that there's a lot of excitement in the beginning. Lots of training and such. However one quickly realizes that the company is a horrible place to work.

    Cons

Frequent layoffs and no room for growth. Employees are treated like cattle, not people. Not happy.

I worked at Sun Life as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Great people, great environment, great culture. Everyone in my office got along well, both in and outside of the office. Good job to start in the industry with.

    Cons

Learning opportunities eventually ended. Got into a monotonous routine are after a short time of employment. Day to day work is generally the same. Not very much room to grow.
