Uncertain times for solar, to include SunEdison

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Belmont, CA

ProsNew industry, so its exciting to be apart of that.
Some cool people to work with.
Salary is pretty decent, although you have to really negociate to get it.
Work/life balance is great.

ConsDisorganization
Unclear direction or leadership
Top heavy - far too many chiefs

Advice to Senior ManagementEveryone can't be in mangaement; you need little people, and to value them in order to get things done. Also, clear and more frequent communciation from leadership about the direction and invitiatives within the company. Stonger sense of organization and infrastructure.

Rewards top management not its staff...the turnover speaks for itself.

Vice President (Former Employee) Beltsville, MD

    I worked at SunEdison

Pros: It is renewable energy and has lots of growth potential… Cons: A management team that takes every ounce from its employees but gives nothing of real value back. Extremely cut throat environment… Advice to Senior Management: Get rid of the top layer of management. No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More

Big name does not matter in regional office

Other (Current Employee) Toronto, ON (Canada)

I have been working at SunEdison full-time for more than 3 years

Pros: small office, racial and gender diversity across the board, global… Cons: The name is no doubt big but regional offices look, feel, environment, and process is no different than any other small company willing to survive. There… Advice to Senior Management: Avoid conflict of Interest, cut out your BS politics and backbiting, acquire leadership skills,… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
