I have been working at SunEdison full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

SunEdison has smart, good, individual employees. The west coast offices (in San Francisco and Belmont) are new and nice and in good locations. The company has a good 401k match that vests immediately.

Cons

SunEdison has poor internal processes that do not manage work flow processes well. The company is consistently late in paying its consultants and is always scrambling for cash. The culture is dominated by blame and finger-pointing as SunEdison attempts to insert greater accountability when the company is under stress. Margins are low and unpredictable.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

improve people development and training, improve processes and systems for vendor payment and workload management, improve accountability

I have been working at SunEdison full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Paycheck, some of the people, solar proliferation, company phone, 401k, vision, dental, health care, new offices, training, proficient and extremely professional IT department, a really well built and efficient physical product, many talented people.

    Cons

The list is too long. Lets say there are many chiefs and no Indians. The corrupt and entitled rise the ranks. those that ad actual value are not respected and are run out by the fear of those who aren't adding value. I have been working here for a 1 1/2 years and seen reoccurring mistakes. I am not sure how we stay in business. Advice to prospects: fight for a higher salary because you wont get raises and the company will expect you to work for an almost non living wage. This company (Other than our modules and Utility/ Distributed Generation installations) is all glitter and very little substance. Humanity is not welcome in here, this company needs robots.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Watch your acquisition, because your culture is being destroyed by the unauthentic.
When you see someone that is real, invest in them. When everyone is telling you that certain people have hijacked a department and are one by one weeding out your legacy employees for those who can be hired for very small salaries and a lot less skill, don't be surprised when your company starts falling apart. don't be surprised that your customer "delight" suffers.

    Pros

One of the top names/brands in the solar industry

    Cons

Extreme lack of focus and knowledge about who they are and where they stand in the value chain: lots of acquisitions that have led nowhere (trackers, micro-inverters, etc., etc.)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on what you do well and stop pulling the organization in a million different directions.
