I worked at Sunbelt Rentals full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Got great experience with some great coworkers, with a decent sized fleet and funding

Cons

Management has a tendency to cut out the older, higher paid managers in favor of younger, cheaper staff members.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't cut out the experienced members of staff just to cut out dollars

I have been working at Sunbelt Rentals full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Sunbelt Rentals (pump&power) is filled with best kind of people. Some of the hardest workers you'll meet. The corp side is also filled with good well meaning people.

    Cons

Profit sharing seems to have diminished to near nothing and difficult to achieve it. Base pays are low for the industry. Corp/management infrastructure growing too fast. Company has moved from a bottom up to a top down (which by itself is neither good nor bad) but too few in corp structure seem to really be in touch with the realities of daily ops.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Restore some of the autonomy to the store and make the brand management happen before equipment is delivered. Impose ops understanding standards.
