Pros

Good company to start your career with. Lots of training, and opportunity for re- hire upon graduation.

Cons

Calgary is not the best city to work in. You go to work when it is dark, and come home when it is dark.

Advice to Management

Provide a more structured bridging program (more training seminars)

    Pros

Very good benefits, SIS bonus, housing allowance, retention, double time, and I love my co-workers. In my area safety is bang on.

    Cons

Lots of young guns in management trying to impress head office so sometimes it feels like safety suffers for it. Lots of tension between the union and management.

  2. Good work enviornment and wonderful peers

I have been working at Suncor as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Largest oil and gas company from Canada; lots of opportuntities to move within departments

    Cons

Largest capital project in the world (Voyager) cancelled. Leaves a bit of uncertainty of how long my department will stay intact

    Advice to Management

Put in a better plan to retain high producing contractors and employees in order not to loose critical knwoledge and skills
