Pros

Some people have been delivering high quality service for years.
Reasonable quality of life.
Focus on making club keeps SalesForce motivated.

Cons

Customers losing interest in secondary site disaster recovery.
Challenging to compete with hosting and Cloud companies.
Corporate backing in question long term.
No clear integration between the SunGard companies.

Probably a good time to sell company to larger firm.

    I have been working at Sungard Availability Services full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Potential virtual office and flexible hours. Benefits not bad.

    NO raises or bonuses in years.

    Cons

    Ineptness on so many levels, extremely disjointed and dysfunctional. NO teamwork of any kind, India Team is worthless, causes more work on the US teams, so no savings, costs the company more. Inflexible work hrs in India, only work their shift, will leave job in the middle of a crisis or working an issue, causing US workers to work after hours. Long long hours and high demanding and extremely unhappy customers. Which is rightfully so!!!!
     Upper management is spineless, clueless and takes no accountability and couldn't plan their way out of a wet paper bag. Passing the buck and ticket pushers, even middle management has not decision making capability.
    Their attitude is"just get it done" without proper tools, proper training or personnel to support. it is a captain-less ship that is absolute "HOT MESS"

    Advice to Colleagues: Leave before it is sold to an Indian company
    Advice to potential job seekers....STAY AWAY, it is worse then where you are currently

    Just sell it, ANYONE else can BETTER!!!!
