Sunrise Senior Living – “A nice place to get comfortable”

Pros

The corporate office has one of the best physical work environments that I have worked in. Well decorated and comfortable, and they don't skimp on decent chairs. Computer equipment is kept fairly up to date.

Cons

Massive growth over the past couple of years means lots of changes. Some areas, including IT and Accounting, have had challenges keeping up. It takes a while to get things accomplished, especially when working with other groups. It felt like you were fighting the "status quo" and major resistance to change when it came to establishing anything with accountability at corporate. It could be discouraging to those who are top performers.

Advice to Senior Management

Make sure you are funding the infrastructure adequately.
