I worked at Superior Energy as a contractor for more than a year

    Pros

Good pay, benefits, work environment. Office space was very nice and the company provided Monday lunch was a great perk.

    Cons

Some managers seem to not know their jobs. Company policies are not handed down and certain information has to be found on your own and sometimes by surprise

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve the on boarding of new hires. Ensure that persons that are put into management positions have experience and can do the jobs of those that they are to manage.

I worked at Superior Energy full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Superior has many great people working there. Sometimes there is an annual salary bonus but not always.

    Cons

Managers are often abusive and lack experience and training. IT group has no direction where it is headed. The level of incompetence and negligence within the IT group is sad. The company looks like it is going to be purchased by Halliburton and I feel sorry for the people that will be fired as a result.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Why do most people leave the IT dept. after 6 months? Does anyone even care? It's like working at McDonalds. Senior management is obsessed with getting purchased by a large company so they can all retire wealthier than they already are. Moral is very low and no one cares.
