Co-workers were amazing sometimes, banded together to get through difficult objectives

Cons

Corp. disconnect from reality - ivory tower syndrome

    I worked at Supermedia full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Benefits, friendly co-workers, & earning potential*. I say earning potential with an asterisk because there's a chance for good earnings but you must know how to work the system and have extensive sales skills.

    Cons

    Lack of future vision, bad upper management, & bad online product value for clients. Yellow pages work for some but not for most anymore. I can't remember over the last 10 years actually using a phone book. Other ad firms are taking over digitally and Supermedia is falling drastically. Customer service it at a all time low and customers are dropping out YOY.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Invest in new online technology. For starters: How about real SEO, Mobile ads, and CMS websites for clients.

    I have been working at Supermedia full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    Compensation, Benefits, Coworkers, Union, Customers, Flexibility. This was a great place to work for years then they upper management ran it into the ground.

    Cons

    Dying core product, horrible online products, tired old managers, alienate customers before they make a too late attempt to get them back, managers that couldn't sell if their life depended on it yet bully reps about selling. Sales reps are the only ones responsible for failure.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep collecting your $$ for poor preformance and laughing on the way to the bank because it's never your fault, it's the MC's.
