Swedish hides poor clinical care, does not report clinicians to state boards of practice when required.

    Pros

Ballard clinic has the BEST doctors to work for. Great patients ! Some very innovative physicians that welcome change.

    Cons

Awful work/life balance. Corporate management is all about the money(making it), some decisions are NOT patient friendly(like the decision to discontinue carrying patient samples).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Two questions that I asked over the years I was employed there....
    1. If all of the clinics revenue goes into one pot, why do very established doctors, who have a "poor patient mix"(as in, alot of Medicare patients and not too many private insurance patients) get dinged for "low production", even if they are seeing the most patients in the clinic. You then have another doctor who is not as established and has alot of private insurance patients with not so many Medicare patients who's "production" is acceptable....if it all goes into one pot anyways, doesn't it balance itself out ?
    2. Swedish is a "not for profit" company, why are the CEO's so concerned about it (profit, that is ?)

  2.

Great company with great patient care

    Pros

    Great benefits.

    Cons

It's getting too big and sometimes management loses touch with staff.
