I have been working at Swiss Post Solutions as a contractor for more than 8 years

Pros

they will get you a job

Cons

they need to take care of there employees and pay attention to the payrate and the cost of living in the big apple.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

listen to employees and promote employees who have been there for so many years rather then hire from the outside

I have been working at Swiss Post Solutions full-time for more than a year

    Pros

SPS pays well but afte dealing with the company for a while it was not worth it...

    Cons

As an employer contracted to wokr on a helpdesk, Do not believe it when management tells you about all the opportunites availabel for advancement. the only thing that is certain is the grass that will grow under your feet waiting.

The place is like a sweatshop. they stick you on phone duty all day, people who come to work late every single day are rewarded by being able to keep their jobs since management looks the other way.

To add insult to injury the company's "regular" full time staff enjoy half their day off the phones as well as holidays and other events while Swiss Post third world workers get the nightmare of working the phone all day as well as working all holidays,

To further alienate employees, so-called supervisors tell you when you can take a break and when you can do lunch as if a mature adult is unable to look at work volume and make judgements.

Supervisors routinely tell their subordinates about other coworkers performance and behavior which is not only unprofesional but just plain tacky.

All but a coiuple of the so-called Expert Advisors are rude and condescending. Although they ae supposed to be experts, they keep their knowledge to themselves and if htey decide to assist, the offers comes late enough for the issue to have been resolved.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reward your best people for doing a good job; carve out a path for mobility (since you're always bragging that you do it already), fire those Supervisors who aren't professional enough to keep thier mouths shut employees' business and last get rid of some of the lazy techs that don't like to work. Trust me, everyone knows who they are.
