Pros

Potential to move between different groups, and each group is different

Cons

A lot of outsourcing to overseas
Poor compensation for low to mid engineering titles
No incentive to be anything more than average
Mandatory vacation in December

by Sadly Symantec cannot do better:

The reason the smart leave Symantec is that Symantec cannot do better. It is a meat grinder. You check your soul at the door and become a bland robot spitting out broken code to meet the inept manager's needs so that your product can shut down a nation of desktops.
