Great brand and core products, strong consumer franchise. Every CIO will take a call from their Symantec rep, which is immensely helpful for salespeople.
Cons
The product portfolio has become unwieldy and difficult for most of the salespeople to understand well enough to sell with credibility. Sales Management focused only on near term deal-centric targets, not long term development of customer relationships or satisfaction. NYC office a crony culture - if not ex-EMC, you're a 2nd class citizen.
Advice to Senior Management
Rotate your NorthEast/NYC leadership team, or at least get them some 360 degree feedback.
