    Pros

    There are some hard-working professional individuals at Symantec who truly have a professional demeanor and team work ethic.

    Cons

    Ineffectual HR, upper and mid management that have no respect for the individual field force in particular customer facing presales analysts and engineers. Sales reps have degenerated to the level of shifting the blame to cover for software solutions and badly need of update. Security's software solutions take precedence in terms of technology updates wearers storage software solutions updates take backseat. Sales reps are allowed to demean and denigrate customer facing presales employees without being discipline in a abrasive toxic culture. Sales reps or below quota are allowed to languish in be allowed to blame presales individuals who are diligently working to improve Symantec's solutions for the customer.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Improve respect for the individual from upper management down to the field employees. Foster a team spirit within management. Have a zero-tolerance policy in place for Sales reps who demean and denigrate customer facing pre sales / post sales employees. Invest more resources and development for updates for all of Symantec software solutions to keep them up-to-date and competitive and reliable.
