Pros

Benefits are good, recent major improvements in opportunities for certifications and career advancement in select departments, coworkers are jewels and are an amazing opportunity to network in the industry, multiple training opportunities in lots of different fields if you actively seek it out.

Cons

Pay is pitifully low compared to industry standard for several select departments. In some cases it is 30-40,000$ below the lowest point in the standard range. Chronic under resourcing is a major issue and effects project success and team moral. Senior management is often hypocritical with what they present to employees vs. what they actually do. Some form of employee retention has shown up on the corporate goals for the past 4-5 years but Synarc continues to lose good people. Senior management has not been able to put their money where their mouth is.

Advice to Management

Pay rates need a major evaluation and revision in order to retain good employees in departments that are the heart of quality deliverables such as Ops, CDM, and PM. When presenting company updates to employees there should either be Obama like transparency or reserved estimates so it does not seem as if you are rescinding something originally offered. Good employees should be rewarded with some sort of incentive in order to improve moral and drive.

    Pros

Friendly and helpful colleagues, good benefits, good place to enter into clinical industry for a couple of years to develop skill set to be eligible to work as a sponsor clinical trial assistant--not clinical research associate

    Cons

Very little room for advancement, salaries way below industry standard, incredibly high turnover in Operations

    Advice to Management

Restructure the Operations roles to add more value, focus more on employee retention over immediate bottom line

    Pros

I really liked the people I worked with, and I really liked the content of the work I was allowed to do. Fascinating business model.

    Cons

Lack of resources. Big separation between management and where the work was performed. Lack of career growth. Questionable management competence.

    Advice to Management

Get better funding and more experienced management. The company is chronically under resourced, particularly in sales. The senior leadership is inexperienced at running and growing a profitable enterprise.
