I have been working at Syracuse University full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Great medical, good dental and vision. Retirement is a contribution equal to 10% of your salary to TIAA-CREF.

Cons

Salaries for staff and lecturers are low. Salaries at the upper levels of the administration are disproportionately high.
