Sales (Current Employee)

I have been working at Sysco full-time for more than 10 years

Prosentreprenurial environment, friendly co-workers, flexability in schedule, training

Conscompensations changes, no control over other departments that affect your sales and pay, less promotional trips and contests than previously, no desire for career advancement

Advice to Senior Managementplace some focus back on the customers and employees, we are losing customers all over the place and employees are not happy. Be the company you were 5+ years ago... economy or not.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

High Turnover, Good for Resume but you will never get rich

Pros: Independence, Recognizable Company Name for resume. real world street sales. Clientele is nice… Cons: Chains are handled by National Sales and there are not nearly enough independent companies to be able to keep the sales staff occupied. Margins tight… Advice to Senior Management: make this a salaried position with bonus.
