Good Long Time Employer

Senior Director (Current Employee)
Houston, TX

ProsGood pay, decent benefits, promotion opportunities if willing to relocate. Additional benefits beyond salary insurance (bonus, stock options, restricted stock units) can be lucrative, but obviously not guaranteed.

ConsPoor communication about change, significant changes occurring for several years. Defined benefit pension plan recently frozen. 401k replacement not as good as previous pension - less likely to encourage employees to stay long term.

Advice to Senior ManagementCommunicate better about upcoming changes, communicate better about action plans to achieve high level strategic objectives.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Incompetent middle managers make the job difficult.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Sysco full-time for more than 10 years

Pros: The company offers good benefits and training. There are some very experienced… Cons: This company is very "flavor of the week" and will change focus and direction on a dime. Shareholders are the prime focus to the detriment… Advice to Senior Management: Open your eyes and hold middle managers accountable.
