Pros

Good pay and benefits although they cut 5 days of vacation from everyone this year. Since they are growing you can get lucky and be in the right place and right time, have a friend in the right place and get a promotion (even if you lack appropriate experience). Quality systems coming out of HQ in Japan.

Cons

See above. Executive management should be bringing in more people from outside that have the required experience needed if there is no one in-house that meets the need. Promoting from within is great but can cause a lot of problems if it happens even when those moved into higher positions aren't the right fit for the roles.

Advice to Management

Rather than stretching resources to the breaking point staff at the appropriate level for such a fast growing company and when looking to fill leadership roles be careful not to promote from within if bringing people in with exact experience/exposure needed would be better for the company as a whole.

    Pros

Excellent product, probably among the best in the world.

    Cons

Micromangement of your time. Sysmex GPS tracks their field personnel. Constant need to be in contact with the head office via email and voicemail. Your "own time" will never be your own. If you work for Sysmex, they OWN you.

    Advice to Management

If you hire good people, trust them. You do not need to micro-manage their time and activities. How would you like to be GPS tracked 24/7?

    Pros

Nice facility, hard-working and dedicated employees, nice and reasonably priced cafeteria open for breakfast and lunch, free drinks from the vending machines, and work expectations were reasonable.

    Cons

My cubicle was not fully furnished with office supplies such as a stapler. It was not a major issue, however.

    Advice to Management

Nothing I can think of. The company tends to run smoothly and worker morale appears solid.
