I worked at T-Mobile

Pros

They offer great benefits to even part-time employees. Fun atmosphere. Great phone benefits. Relaxed dress code. Fun company and product trainings.

Cons

Management wasn't very straightforward. They definitely picked favorites and ignored others. Definitely nowhere near professional in any way. They also change policies and procedures too often without notice.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat it like a business, and be more professional. Do not discuss other employees and management behind their backs where reps can hear you. And definitely do not try to turn everyone on eachother.

I have been working at T-Mobile

    Pros

Great Benefits - very generous, some of the best I've ever had. Good selection, extremely reasonable cost.
    Supportive co-workers
Corporate culture is very open and casual. Managers and employees are strongly encouraged to interact and perform in alignment with company values
Customer service is valued and encouraged

    Cons

Promote work-life balance but the volume of work does not support this
Executive leadership is out of touch with the front line workforce - a lot of talk but not much action
For a technology company we don't seem to have a competent IT department. I have not seen a project rolled out that actually delivered to the BRD. Lots and lots of manual processes to support every "system solution."
Lack of communication and alignment between different departments

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Come out of the top floor of NP5 and actually talk to front line employees to find out what it takes to get the job done - don't just be a talking head at a meeting, or in a room of other Executive Leadership, or a photo op at a store visit. The previous leader used to have round table meetings with frontline employees to actually discuss issues and concerns.
While it might be dificult at this time, try to recruit better IT staff to keep our systems cutting edge.
