I have been working at T-Mobile full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Rocky recent history has meant compensation bump to keep talent.
Immature process adoption means firefighter mentalities stand out and are rewarded.

    Cons

Strategy is a four-letter word here.
Culture is simplistic and political, in a teenage clique-y kind of way.
Immature process adoption means everything is an emergency.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give knowledge workers access to one another without managers getting in the way.

Invest in some meaningful internal IT infrastructure. (Why is there no way to search across internal web/content repositories? Why is there no usable company employee directory?)

Stop pounding people over the head with overly simplistic reiterations of "values". Instead, offer three-year and five-year roadmaps with some intelligent analysis. Give people with brains a reason to stay.

    Pros

I can't think of anything positive. Refocus your entire approach on employee branding, create realistic expectations and ensure that your practice is TRULY what you ARE preaching.

    Cons

Poor management, revolving door. Refocus your entire approach on employee branding, create realistic expectations and ensure that your practice is TRULY what you ARE preaching.
