T-Mobile Employee Review
T-Mobile – “After 2 years of "Bleeding Magenta"....I'm moving on”
1 of 1 people found this helpfulPros
Up to 4 Employee lines and a VOIP line
Good medical and dental
Old commission system used to pay reps very well
Cons
Too much politics
Promotions given out unfairly, based on who you know, rather than what you know and how much you do
There's a lot of corruption and undermining of T-Mobile core values.
Market management, divisional directors are protected by human resources. Honest investigations do not occur.
Open door policy is endorsed, however if you go after the higher ups for doing the wrong thing, you job security and promotion is in jeopardy. HR gives upper management immunity.
No confidentiality whatsoever (no matter what HR tells you)
New "Simple comp" commission is a joke.
Promotions are promised and rarely delivered. A lot of favoritism. Promotions are based on you who know rather than what you know.
Team leader/keyholder role is a farse. Same pay as regular reps, however you are responsbile for doing the job of an assistant manager. With that said, you are actually making less money because your commission check will be substantially lower from doing all the paperwork, inventory and other operational work (for which you get no recognition for)
If you go along with the show, you may be rewarded with an assistant manager position, granted you don't speak out against any unethical practices at your store.
Also your new manager will probably be an external hire.
Advice to Senior Management
Upper management :
Start promoting internally
Start holding management accountable for their actions
Please stop with all the politics
